painting

everything here took effort. that's kinda the idea? some of it is visibly rough/unfinished, but it's here because i like how the colors etc were turning out.

tablet used: wacom intuos pro (PTH460)

software used: clip studio paint EX 2.0, opencanvas 5.05, recently mdiapp+

typical background music: eroge song medleys, keygen music, 10 hour loops of one repetitive song (or 音MAD)...

quirks of my process:

i use as few layers as possible, with most of my actual painting happening on only one. if i make a mistake, i'll just paint over it (i do make backups occassionally though)
i'll use one brush for a whole piece and just change the opacity and size as needed
it's kind of like i'm sculpting the image out of the rough. the less i think about what i'm doing (vs just acting intuitively), the better.
my focus is ridiculous and i can go for several hours without realizing time has passed, or that my wrist hurts... or that my right eye (lazy) has been shut the whole time! i also have a bad habit of putting my face way too close to the screen
